If you’re the one doing the emails, the quotes, the proposals and the admin at 10pm, the business can’t grow past you. And the work you started it to do keeps getting pushed to next week.

The usual answer is to hire someone. Most owners I meet either can’t justify the salary or don’t want the managing that comes with it. So I do the other thing. I build the system that takes the repeating work off you. It’s set up around your business, so it knows your clients, your numbers and the way you like things done. It runs on your own machine, and you own it.

I spent 20+ years in management consulting, at PwC and as a partner at a boutique strategy firm, working with FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 clients. Finding where a business leaks time is the job I’ve always done. The tools have changed. The work underneath hasn’t.

I’m not technical by background. I spent 18 months learning this the slow way so that you don’t have to.

Most owners I meet know very little about AI, and that matters far less than they think. The first job is working out which two or three things in your week are worth handing over. That’s a business question rather than a technical one.
