After over 25 years in various areas of the events industry including: venue and event management, event bars, festivals and event hire. I have now moved into more B2B events and networking.
Today, I have three main ‘hats’
Business in Surrey (co-founder and director)
- Organisers of Surrey’s largest business expos, biannually at Sandown Park Racecourse and Mercedes Benz World.
- Hosts of the BiS BIG Networking event, an annual networking showcase with 20+ leading Surrey business networking groups and organisation supporting.
Surrey Event Professionals (founder)
- A specialised industry focused networking collective for event, wedding and venue businesses, based around a monthly meeting.
- Also, under the SEP banner Steve and business partner Hannah Sheppard, also project manage events under SEP, including career fairs, festivals and private clients. Are a preferred supplier at Surrey and Hampshire CC and mentor at Uni of Surrey event course
Connect Hampshire (co-founder)
- In partnership with Connect Surrey, Steve along with colleagues Hannah Sheppard and Paul Bridgland run the Hampshire version of Connect Surrey
- A professional business networking fortnightly meeting in Alton, Basingstoke, Southampton and Winchester, starting in Jan 2026!
When I’m not working, I’m going for a run with friends, walking my dog or with the family.
